Twitter Suspends GOP Lawmaker Over COVID Post

The social media giant Twitter, run by CEO Jack Dorsey, has suspended Republican lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene for posting “misleading” information about coronavirus, BBC reported.

Greene is an outspoken critic of vaccines and the use of masks, which is language apparently banned or censored by Twitter. Her account is in “read-only mode” for 12 hours. Greene has reportedly compared coronavirus mask rules to the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany, although she has apologized for this remark.

More recently, she argued that vaccines should not be required. She added that Covid was not dangerous for people aged under 65 who are not obese. These posts are tagged by Twitter as “misleading”.

BBC continued:

In response to her latest suspension, Ms Greene said Silicon Valley firms were attacking free speech with support from the White House… “These Big Tech companies are doing the bidding of the Biden regime to restrict our voices and prevent the spread of any message that isn’t state-approved,” she said in a statement to the New York Times.

Last week, Democratic President Joe Biden urged social media firms to take more action against the spread of false information about coronavirus and vaccines on their platforms… “They’re killing people,” Mr. Biden told reporters. “The only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated.”

US health officials have warned the country’s current spike in Covid-19 deaths and infections is exclusively hitting unvaccinated communities… Twitter has repeatedly banned users for sharing false information, and in March it introduced a new policy with penalties for users.

NEXT STORY: Trump Tells Dinner Guests if He’s Going to Run in 2024 (Report)

A new report from the Rolling Stone says Trump is ready to give the presidency another run in 2024.

The report reads: “Trump has told at least three people he’s dined with in recent months that he plans to run in 2024, a former senior official at the Republican National Committee tells Rolling Stone… I have three friends who’ve had dinner with him in the last couple of months. All three reported that his current plans are to run for president in 2024.”

The source cites a former RNC official. “Now, whether he does or not is a different issue,” the official continued. “We’ve still got three years to go. But he’s telling people that… The ex-R.N.C. official says the first two dinners took place in late spring. But the third dinner happened in the last two weeks. The first two dinner companions came away from their conversations convinced Trump was serious and he’s running, the official adds. The third said he left the dinner ‘not 100% sure Trump wants to run but he likes being in the conversation, he wants to freeze the field, and he wants his name out there.’”

An ex-Trump adviser also said, “All the people I talk to who deal with him directly think as of now he is running.”

NEXT STORY: BREAKING: Fully Vaccinated Pelosi and Biden Aides Test Positive for COVID

A staff member of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tested positive for coronavirus despite being fully vaccinated, Fox News reports.

Drew Hammill, a top aide to Pelosi, confirmed this information about an unidentified aide. This aide also did not have recent contact with Pelosi, the report adds. Hammill said, “Yesterday, a fully vaccinated senior spokesperson in the speaker’s press office tested positive for COVID after contact with members of the Texas state legislature last week.”

Hammill continued, “This individual has had no contact with the speaker since exposure. The entire press office is working remotely today with the exception of individuals who have had no exposure to the individual or have had a recent negative test. Our office will continue to follow the guidance of the Office of Attending Physician closely.”

Additionally, a White House official also tested positive for coronavirus after attending the same rooftop reception in Washington as the Pelosi staffer last Wednesday night. The report says this White House aide was also fully vaccinated and experienced mild symptoms.

A White House official said, “We know that there will be breakthrough cases, but as this instance shows, cases in vaccinated individuals are typically mild. The White House is prepared for breakthrough cases with regular testing. This is another reminder of the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines against severe illness or hospitalization. We wish our colleague a speedy recovery.”

NEXT STORY: Reporter Has ‘Surreal Moment’ of Realization After Atttending Pro-Police Rally

A reporter was apparently shocked at what he witnessed at a pro-police rally, calling it a “surreal moment” in Oakland, California, Western Journal reports.

Across the nation, liberals have been pushing to defund their police departments and, in some cases, even completely eliminate their police departments. Additionally, the left has suggested the majority of the African American communities prefer police departments are defunded or reformed.

However, investigative journalist Lee Fang, who works for The Intercept, was covering a recent pro-law enforcement on July 10. The rally was called “Stand Up for a Safe Oakland.” Fang noted that “hundreds of mostly black supporters not only showed up en masse to back the blue but some of them also schooled what he called a handful of ‘white antifa protesters’” who were insisting that police were the problem,” Western Journal reports.

“Surreal moment in Oakland,” Fang wrote. “About 200 mostly black families rally with police to call for an end to the epidemic of gun violence. Mothers at the stage mourning recently murdered children,” he said about the names of the crime victims being read. “In the back, less than a dozen mostly white antifa protesters assembled to jeer them.”

NEXT STORY: Celebrity ‘Pitbull’ Roasts World Leaders Over Lack Of Support For Protesters in Cuba: ‘Get With The Motherf***ing Program’

Celebrity rapper Pitbull posted a video to social media telling world leaders to immediately act to save the lives of pro-freedom demonstrators in Cuba, Daily Wire reports.

Pitbull said, “This is a message to the world. We need to stand up, step up. But if you don’t understand what’s going on, then you need to wake the f*** up. Not only is this a Cuba event, a Cuba thing, this is a world event. This isn’t about politics. This is about saving lives. This is about unity, not division. And bottom line it’s about taking action. Let me tell you something, why I’m frustrated and when I see everybody out there and doing what they’re doing, which I love what they’re doing. Okay, because not only do we live for freedom, we ride for freedom, we die for freedom, but we motherf***ing appreciate freedom.”

He continued, “And it gets me hat bothers me and it frustrates me to a certain extent, being a Cuban American, and having a platform to speak to the world and not being able to help my own people, not being able to get them food, not being able to get them water, not being able to get the medicine. But most of all, not being able to help and really get them what they deserve, which is freedom. And this is my way of talking to the world. All world’s allies get together to help. Global businesses get together to help. People that we’re so proud of, people such as a Jeff Bezos, a Cuban American, graduated from high school in Miami, built one of the biggest companies in the world, the richest man in the world. He’s somebody that can get involved and really help us and what we got. All we can do is create awareness, but politics are gonna be polititricks.”

“And while they figure out what they figure out, we need to figure out how to really help,” he said. “We need to get creative, we need to figure out solutions while they’re losing their lives over there literally for something that we wake up every day and appreciate, which is freedom. So to everybody out there, stand up, step up. And if you don’t understand, get with the motherf***ing program and wake up because this is about freedom and it’s about human rights. And everybody in Cuba keep the fight up.”
