In a shocking development, Miss Brazil 2018 Gleycy Correia has died at the age of 27.

She had a common surgery to remove her tonsils and there were complications, according to multiple reports.

Days after the procedure, she suffered heavy bleeding and had a heart attack.

Her family priest says she spent five days at home and then suffered a hemorrhage.

She was placed in a coma at a private clinic for the past two months and then died.

“She went to Unimed and had a cardiac arrest on 4th April and since then she was in a coma, with no neurological activity. Today she passed away,” the family priest said.

Since April 4, her family had taken over Correia’s Instagram page and had shared videos of prayer circles held for her.
